The project involved the demolition and reconstruction of a 4 bedroom luxury dwelling.
Constructed with pile and beam foundations, masonry envelope with attic trussed tiled roof, with external wall finishes of mock Tudor panelling, Monocouche render and hanging tile detailing to the front and side facades.
The project also involved the demolition and rebuilding of an outbuilding to form a new garage, gym and tack room, constructed on a pile and raft foundation, with dwarf and timber frame weatherboard clad walls, the roof of which matches the house.
Externally the access driveway and surrounding paths and patio areas were reconfigured, along with the laying of new services and drainage.
The house features a sound system in all rooms, linked to central server.
Late additions to the project included the installation of a cinema in roof space, as well as additional stairs and alterations to room layouts.
The property also boasts a 10m x 5m swimming pool.
The kitchen features a underground wine cellar set around a spiral staircase. Constructed with a clear glass top and feature lighting, the cellar is capable of holding 1,500 bottles of wine, with automatic temperature controls to ensure the optimum environment is constantly maintained.
The property includes a number of environmental features including an air source heat pump & rain water harvesting.
External works were carefully planned and monitored throughout to ensure a nearby badger sett was not disturbed.
