Policy
R G Carter Construction Ltd recognises that aspects of its Construction operations will have an impact on local communities and the natural environment.
We are committed to minimising their effects by monitoring and seeking continuous improvement in the environmental performance of ourselves, our sub contractors and our suppliers.
In pursuit of these objectives the Company implements the following principles:
- We will always endeavour to carry out our activities within the law and in accordance with statutory regulation
- We will develop and promote procedures designed to minimise the effect that our business has on the environment
- We will encourage the development of construction techniques which minimise their impact on the environment
- We will promote that our Clients, Sub Contractors and Suppliers adopt ‘best practice’ environmental solutions
- We will provide training to all our staff to provide an understanding of the environmental impact of activities under their control, and ‘best practice’ solutions to minimise their impact
- We will, where required, develop and promote compliance with Project Specific Environmental Management Plans
- We will review and report our environmental performance on a regular basis and, where practical, will set performance targets to ensure continuing improvement
