Established in 1921 R G Carter has
grown both in terms of its geographical spread and representation outwards
from Norwich and Norfolk throughout Great Britain. The continued Chairmanship
by the Carter family has ensured that the hallmarks and traditions that
became a feature of the company in its early days remain the cornerstone
of the company's business style
today.
Robert Carter, the current Chairman and Managing Director, has continued the expansion of the firm since his father's death in 1974. He has adopted the same principles as his father and grandfather previously, continuously striving for quality, care and craftsmanship.
The family traditions established at the outset have been maintained through the continued involvement and employment of successive generations of tradesmen, whose roots go back to the early days. They have all contributed to the development, success and strength of the firm which can thus truly be called a family company in the widest sense.
