Global acclaim for Unilever Centre
Groceries magnate Lord Sainsbury has opened one of RG Carter Thetfords
most prestigious contracts - the Unilever Centre for Molecular Informatics,
at Cambridge University.
He was helped by Prime Minister Tony Blair, who was not there in person...
but joined guests by video link.
The multi-million pound complex was formally unveiled in March, before
a global audience of visitors from more than 20 nations - among them China,
Japan, South Africa, Poland and Chile.
Among the guests were Thetford directors Geoffrey Whistler and Peter Burton.
The Centres four floors, spanning 2,650 square metres, are dedicated
to the study of molecular science.
Designed by award-winning Danish architect Cornelia Zibrandtsen, the buildings
main features include an enormous steel tree structure in its library,
