R G Carter has secured a contract to build a new dementia care unit in Gorleston, Norfolk, work on which will begin in April.
The 88-bed state-of-the-art facility will house residents that are currently being cared for in three smaller homes. Residents will benefit from en-suite rooms, specially designed gardens, modern well-equipped communal spaces and improved assisted technology.
A fitness and activity room, treatment room and hairdressers will feature within the new building for the use of residents, as well as a café and several lounges and dining rooms.
The R G Carter team is well acquainted with the local community, having carried out major refurbishment and extension work to a neighbouring primary school in 2010.
