R G Carter ran a career-focussed stand at the Royal Norfolk Show on Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th June. The stand aimed to demonstrate the training opportunities and career routes the business has to offer, as well as its commitment to the community.

Craft skills demonstrations on brick bonding, arches and building a roof truss, were run by our Apprentices and were available for the public to try themselves. The stand also provided several activities for younger children, including lego and structure building and builder relay races which drew many families and schools to the stand for both fun and educational reasons.

A career event was held on the evening of the first day of the show, where teachers, tutors and students from high schools and colleges across Norfolk attended to find out more about roles and training at R G Carter. Our own trainees and graduates also attended so that students could speak with them about their experience with the company.
