New store in Mundesley opens

A former village store in Mundesley, North Norfolk, has been converted into a Tesco Express by R G Carter in just 14 weeks.

Part of the convenience store was demolished and a larger two-storey extension was built. To overcome the heavy snowfall during the works, the team erected a cover around the building to enable external rendering work to continue, keeping the project on-schedule.

On 15 February, the store’s manager, Phil Whitling, cut the ribbon along with Mundesley Parish council chairman, Christopher West, and Amanda Ng, chairman of the Mundesley Youth and Community Group.

The team is also carrying out work in the local community by undertaking essential electrical lighting works at the local lifeboat station.
