R G Carter is committed to high standards of Health & Safety, which are driven from the highest management levels to all staff and personnel, who carry this commitment to the workforce for all our activities.
As part of our latest safety initiative, 15 senior managers have recently passed their NEBOSH examinations and a further 15 are in training now, on what will be an ongoing programme.
Looking forward, 2009 will be another challenging year for Health & Safety. Our main objective, as always, is to safeguard the Health, Safety and welfare of all personnel who come in to contact with our activities.
A good Health & Safety culture is key to achieving this and the drive to reach a consistent execution of Health & Safety will continue, following significant steps towards this goal made over the last year.
The ongoing promotion of 'What Good Looks Like', greater worker engagement, the release of the revised Group Health & Safety Manual, a refreshed induction and safety slogans on PPE, are but a few initiatives that will help to instill a culture that makes Health & Safety second nature.
