The design and build of 8nr 2MW turbines, including foundations and ancillary civils at North Pickenham.
Each turbine stands 85m tall to the rotor hub with 80m diameter rotor blades. The wind farm generates over 35 million kWh of green electricity each year, saving more than 28,000 tones of Carbon Dioxide emissions into the atmosphere.
The geology of the site made design to accommodate the extreme load case for the turbines a testing challenge. Chalk is an extremely variable rock and pile by pile monitoring to ensure performance was required.
