The demolition of the former Silver Jubilee Public House in Bretton, Peterborough, has received significant interest from the local community; none more so than from pupils at the nearby Helwate Special Educational Needs School, who will gain a wonderful new facility on this site. On hearing the demolition in progress, the headteacher asked our team if they could bring some of the pupils out to see the action from behind the safety of the secure site boundaries. Not being able to contain their excitement, they arrived minutes later; it absolutely made their day!

Seeing just how excited they were and to get them involved, Anglia Demolition also gave the pupils the opportunity to press the trigger on the pressure water hose through the fence, used to dampen the dust. The sheer delight on the children’s faces really was something to be treasured.
