At Manea Community Primary School in the Fenlands, our team donated an engraved time capsule to mark over six months refurbishment and extension works. The capsule burial was directly in front of the new four-classroom teaching facility the team handed over just before Christmas where the pupils and staff have been enjoying its new benefits.

Despite the chilly, windy weather, over 200 pupils came out with staff and school governors at the end of the school day to catch a glimpse of the shiny capsule before it was buried in the last of the playground works. Each class had provided pictures to insert about their home and school life to provide a colourful view of life today for the future!

Headteacher Miss Froggatt, did a speech to all the school, thanking R G Carter for all their hard work, and to the Governors for their support in the funds needed to extend and enhance the buildings.

The project is being delivered for Cambridgeshire County Council.
