Business Administrator Apprenticeship

Ipswich - Permanent, full time - Monday - Friday


If you have an interest in business and administration and are looking to kickstart your career this could be the perfect role for you. We are seeking a highly organised and motivated administrator to join and support our team. Alongside your work, you will be enrolled on a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship. Business administrators have a highly transferable set of knowledge, skills and behaviours that can be applied in all sectors. This includes small and large businesses alike. This role will involve working as part of a team and will involve developing, implementing, maintaining and improving administrative services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Contracts team.
  • Monitoring project email addresses and publishing to foundations.
  • Completing purchase orders.
  • Drawing management and distribution via email and hard copies.
  • General admin/office duties - photocopying scanning/saving documents, letter writing, emails, minute taking & binding reports.
  • Tracking and recording H&S documents.
  • Filing (electronically).
  • Reception duties - answering the phones, weekly/monthly checks, post and distributing accordingly and dealing with visitors.
  • Covering reception duties as required.
  • Chase subcontractors for RAMS/H & S Documentation weekly and ensure document registers are kept up to date.
  • Admin support to other departments within the office.
  • Preparing O & M Manuals.
  • Site set-up (documents, folders, posters, all CCS preparation, Site Safety Packs).
  • Archiving & clearing site box/files at the end of a job & filing/archiving required info.


  • Experience working within a busy office or administrative department would be advantageous but not essential.
