Background
Due to our continued success in securing new projects alongside our ongoing high-profile projects we are seeking to recruit motivated and enthusiastic Contract Managers and Project Managers to join teams based in Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire or Hertfordshire . The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate a strong capability to prepare, plan and deliver challenging projects of varying types up to a value of £15m on time and the ability to lead a project team from pre-development through to completion. Key Skills & Knowledge
- Demonstrable experience as a Contract Manager and/or Construction Project Manager
- Ideally, degree qualified or with technically qualified / time served trades person with trade registrations / vocational qualifications
- Demonstrable experience of planning, managing and delivering a construction project and maintaining deadlines under pressure
- A strong aptitude for delivering complex construction projects on time and within budget whilst also retaining a client focus throughout
- Strong construction safety background with a working knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice and standards
- Experience of working with different forms of construction would be an advantage
- Experience of planning using ASTA, design team management and procurement
- Understanding of typical design datasheet/drawings and familiar with general design/construction standards
- Familiar with using web based document control systems
- Demonstrable self-starter attributes, a positive “can do” attitude and a strong work ethic
- Computer literate
- Proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Excellent English (spoken and written)
