ICT Technician

Thetford - Permanent - Monday - Friday


The ICT Technician will provide technical support to internal staff. The successful candidate will require an aptitude for working with applications/systems to undertake analysis, diagnosis and resolution of in house user problems, which may range from straightforward to more complicated technical issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting of IT related problems from in-house software to hardware, such as smartphones, tablets, Laptops, PCs and Printers
  • Onsite and remote installation of software / hardware
  • Troubleshoot basic network issues such as Wi-Fi issues
  • Escalate unresolved calls appropriately
  • Take ownership of user problems and follow up the status of problems on behalf of the user and communicate progress in a timely manner
  • To maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to service management principles
  • Basic Active Directory knowledge. User and password management
  • Basic Office 365 administration
  • Experience with using and troubleshooting Outlook and Exchange within a network environment (permissions, calendar sharing, delegation)

Key Skills & Knowledge

  • MCP certification would be desirable
  • Customer focused Service Driven
  • Good analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills and telephone manner.
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Previous IT Service Desk and/or Call Centre experience preferable
  • A self-motivated achiever who thrives as part of a team and gains satisfaction from providing excellent customer service
  • Must have a full UK driving licence
