Due to our continued success in securing new projects alongside our ongoing high-profile projects we are seeking to recruit motivated and enthusiastic Site Managers to join our delivery teams based in Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire or Hertfordshire. The role of the Site Manager is to ensure the efficient and effective execution on site on-sire projects during the construction phase. You will possess a working knowledge of various construction sectors with a range of project values. R G Carter is an equal opportunities employer. Key Skills & Knowledge

  • Demonstrable experience as a Site Manager
  • Technically qualified / time served trades person with trade registrations / vocational qualifications, ideally with a carpentry background
  • Demonstrable experience of managing a site team providing leadership, guidance and mentoring as appropriate, with the ability to manage contractors
  • Strong construction safety background with a working knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice and standards
  • Experience of working with different forms of construction would be an advantage
  • Experience of using web based document control systems
  • Understanding of typical design datasheet/drawings and familiar with general design/construction standards
  • Project planning skills with the ability to perform and maintain deadlines under pressure
  • Demonstrable self-starter attributes, a positive “can do” attitude and a strong work ethic
  • Computer literate
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Excellent English (spoken and written)
