We are delighted to be starting work on the transformation of the former 17th century Inkerman Pub in Ipswich, creating further healthcare facilities for the Cardinal Medical Practice located next door.
To celebrate the start of this refurbishment, a ground-breaking event was held on site, bringing together project partners including NHS Norfolk and Suffolk Integrated Care Board, Ipswich Borough Council, LSI Architects, MP Consultants, CPM Consultants and WSP Healthcare Advisory. Despite hours of heavy rain earlier in the day, blue skies emerged just in time to provide a fitting backdrop!
The scheme will deliver seven modern clinical rooms, new office space and a flexible community room within the sensitively converted building, which will preserve the character of the historic pub built in 1861, while creating a new modern healthcare facility for a spring opening.
