Our fire prevention delivery in construction covers a wide variety of sectors and projects, from large scale housing developments to improving and rectifying small low level retail properties. Works have spanned from retail and healthcare to housing and education, providing us with understanding in how to facilitate all level of fire safety works including fire stopping, sealing around and capping to penetrations, floor and wall upgrades and the refurbishment and installation of external cladding.
From the design stages of a new build project, working on the fire strategy with consultants and fire engineers, through the fabric of the building and survey requirements on a refurbishment, we are involved throughout the process. This gives our clients reassurance that we understand all the regulations needed to manage the installation of any level of fire works. This includes the prevention of the spread of fire, creating clear escape routes or working within the ‘stay put’ strategy in residential apartments.

To improve our knowledge and provide an additional level of reassurance, we have trained members of the team across R G Carter who are BM Trada certified to approve fire door installation. This provides peace of mind that doors can be continually assessed as projects progress.
Our knowledge does not just stop at the implementation of fire separation works, we also have inhouse capabilities and expertise in products that help with fire prevention, with UKAS accredited certification with BM TRADA to ensure these meet rigorous criteria.
