R G Carter are delighted to delivering the new Maggie’s centre at Addenbrooke’s Hospital and are already on site carrying out enabling works for construction.

The centre will replace a temporary facility that has supported people living with cancer for over ten years, providing a calm, welcoming space for patients, families and friends to step away from the clinical environment, access support and take part in activities.

The new timber-framed building is designed by Níall McLaughlin Architects, and will sit within an established woodland setting, replacing an existing NHS administration building. Centred around a lightwell with split-level, light-filled spaces, it will also make the most of the woodland surroundings, providing a new garden approach to create a peaceful and calm environment for all.
