In the heart of tranquil Suffolk woodland, we have recently completed the transformation of Forestry England‘s service yard, creating new secure and flexible undercover storage to support the ongoing care of Thetford Forest.
Procured through SCAPE, the project has delivered three new metal‑clad barns for operational use, plus a fourth housing a chemical store and wash area powered by an environmentally friendly bio‑fuel system.
Sustainable water management was a key focus too—rainwater harvesting and bio‑filtration systems ensure captured water is reused on site, while remaining rainwater is channelled into swales to aid groundwater recharge and enhance biodiversity.
After an official handover and tour of their new facility, the Forestry Team are now settled in, and ready to continue their vital conservation work.
