The Norfolk cricketing community celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Bob Carter Challenge Cup on Monday 27th August, at Manor Park in Horsford; home to county cricket.

Considered the most prestigious knock-out competition in Norfolk for half a century, the final of the Carter Cup, as it has been known locally, was played in a 50-over format in recognition
of the competition’s 50th year.

The closing match saw the Vauxhall Mallards and Great Witchingham, compete to be the proud winners of this prestigious trophy which was presented by Mrs Charlotte Carter.

The Vauxhall Mallards were victorious by 81 runs.
