We were delighted to support Cambridgeshire Constabulary in their Riding Road Safety Awareness Day in the village of Comberton, where our Cambridge offices are located. In partnership with City of London Mounted Police and The British Horse Society, the campaign aimed to challenge and influence the behaviour of road users in response to concerns from the community on speeding.
Two police horses and their riders in plain clothes, spent the day patrolling Comberton and surrounding areas, identifying motorists and other road users whose standards of driving or riding fell below what is expected of a careful and competent road user.
A successful day, well received from residents, with more drivers now educated on why it is so important to drive slowly and respectfully in built up areas.
