The new Bus Hub for Kirklees Council is entering its final stages, with paving and landscaping nearing completion and finishing touches being applied to the double-height, curved glazed waiting area.
The impressive 33m-long, 7.8m-high canopy, featuring a standing seam roof, is now fitted with PV panels, while the hard-landscaped main bay can accommodate up to six buses.
A sweeping curved wall separates the seated waiting area and incorporates automated doors leading directly to the bus stands. Drayton Windows is currently completing the final glazing works within the waiting space, bringing the project close to completion.
Located in Heckmondwike near Leeds, the scheme is on track to complete later this summer.
