We are now completing the finishing touches to the main elevation of the teaching and laboratory facilities for the University of East Anglia, designed by Architects FBM. The materials used on the façade have been chosen to ensure that the building instantly becomes a recognisable part of the university’s campus, and include white render, zinc shingles, dark window frames, brise soleil, porcelain tiles and concrete. In addition, the use of corton steel has been used to create a striking feature, which with exposure to the weather, over time, will form a rust-like appearance.
