On the outskirts of Sheffield City Centre, R G Carter are currently delivering the design and construction of a new General Practitioner Hub for Sheffield City Council and NHS South Yorkshire ICB.
This 1291m2 of internal space will house both Sheffield Medical Centre Practice and Burngreave Surgery and the hub will also offer shared bookable spaces for community and health requirements.
Working closely with Carter Design Group, who are delivering full structural and civil engineering design services, this challenging site required six months of structural levelling and now construction of the L-shaped building is progressing well.
Procured by Sheffield City Council through the YORBuild3 Framework and funded by NHS England, the project is due to complete early in 2026.
