We were delighted to join Boston College recently, breaking ground to mark the official start of construction on the Mayflower Building, a flagship building to promote collaboration and inclusivity for students and businesses. This new bespoke learning centre for young people and adults will provide teaching facilities for courses such as hair and beauty, a commercial kitchen to train the chefs of the future and training rooms, as well as hot desk offices, and a business and digital hub. It will also offer spaces for voluntary services, careers advice, health and well-being support.
The large open plan atrium in the centre of the building will house botanical gardens to create a haven from the elements and is designed to visualise the hull of a boat, paying homage to the original Mayflower ship that took the Founding Fathers to America.
