The student accommodation and teaching facility on Duke Street for Norwich University of Arts has won the Architects Journal Award for Higher Education; projects up to £20m. Hudson Architects were delighted to receive the award at the event held at a special gala at the Hilton Metropole in London, which celebrates the very best in architecture across the UK.

Projects were visited by judges and rigorously assessed across a wide range of criteria including design quality, build quality, programme, user experience, contribution, sustainability and building performance.

‘‘Restrained, contained and respectful: a good, calm piece of civic architecture.” and ‘Tight budget – bloody good job,’ were some of the judge’s summaries of this scheme.

Congratulations to everyone involved across the Firm.
