At the weekend, 25 people from R G Carter walked nearly 15 miles (24km) along the Norfolk coast to support Macmillan Cancer Support. A blue sky, sunny and hot day, the team walked from Cromer to Blakeney.

The first seven miles took the team along the clifftop coastal path and along the Sheringham promenade. After a quick snack and drink stop at Weybourne, the most challenging part of the day commenced with three miles of tough shingle walking along the beach to Cley.

The last part of the walk took in the beautiful, peaceful sights of the marshes near Cley, the path winding its way past Cley windmill to the village of Blakeney, reaching the finish line and a welcome meal and sit
down!

Everyone reached the end in style. Congratulations to everyone that took part. A real achievement for all and wonderful to support such a worthwhile charity, who raised on the day, over £700k and rising!
