The team on the ThreeScore project in Bowthorpe, Norwich, were pleased to be able to make a delivery of 12 wooden pallets to the SEN programme called Assist Trust. This charitable organisation runs programmes for adults in Norfolk with learning disabilities where members are encouraged to learn life skills, be independent and develop friendships.

Members made a range of items with the wood, transforming the pallets into coat hook boards, signs and raised wooden flower beds.

Support Worker, Adrian Brown from Assist Trust said “I would like to thank R G Carter on behalf of Assist Trust for the generosity in donating pallets and delivering them. As a charity that helps to empower adults learning disabilities to gain independence, we would not have been able to run the up-cycling pallets group without your help. The members enjoy the group and we are able to teach them basic skills that most adults take for granted such as sanding, using a hammer, using a drill, measuring and sawing.”
