The R G Carter Projects team recently completed Phase 3 of the multi-storey car park for Waitrose staff, in Bracknell.
Having previously undertaken the other two phases, this phase was complex due to the confined site area, with the completed areas still open for use and a public footpath being used on one side. The construction comprised of a steel frame on piled foundations, with pre-cast planks for the decking and a light-weight steel roof covering.
The works went smoothly thanks to the meticulous planning and ‘just in time’ deliveries, planned so that vehicles only came for the delivery and then left site quickly to avoid impacting on Waitrose staff.
