The last few weeks have seen the R G Carter Ipswich team, busy completing the final touches to the interior spaces of the new archive centre at The Hold, ready for its recent practical handover to Suffolk County Council.
Although the majority of construction is now complete, work will continue on site for the next few months on the building fit out, installation of furniture and IT equipment, and staff training, to ensure the site is operationally ready for its official opening later in the year.
When complete The Hold will be the new home for Suffolk Archives’ Ipswich branch, safely housing the bulk of Suffolk’s archives
