Anglesey Abbey Restaurant Decking

R G Carter have built a reputable relationship with the National Trust to deliver minor construction works to their sites. In 2022 alone we delivered in excess of 30 jobs for them ranging from £0-30k.

Our Building Solutions team works directly with their Facilities Managers to undertake a variety of works including building maintenance, refurbishments, new builds, extensions and specialist restorations. The sites we have been working on are: Wimpole Hall, Anglesey Abbey, Wicken Fen and Houghton Mill.

During October 2022, our Building Solutions team went to Anglesey Abbey to replace the existing 20 year old timber patio decking which had rotten. In collaboration with the Trust we carried out the works to remove the existing timber deck (including the hand rail) and replaced with a new composite plastic decking onto the existing steel joists and then reinstalled the handrail at a raised height to conform with current building regulations.
