Hockliffe Lower School

R G Carter were appointed under the NHS SBS Construction Works Framework to deliver upgrade works to the school during the summer holidays.

The works were delivered within a six week period to ensure zero disruption to the School’s day-to-day activities.

Access to the school was rather unusual over a footbridge, which was starting to sink and areas of depression and the timber threads we all rotten and therefore this had to be repaired. Our team re-tarmacked the bridge along with replacing the timber works and the existing black railings required redecorating. These works ensure that the bridge was once again safe for pupils on their journey to and from school, as well as aesthetically pleasing.

Other works that formed the scope included resurfacing and repairing the 412sqm car park, upgrading the plant room doors with aluminium louver doors as the old doors we no longer not fit purpose.
