West Suffolk Hospital – New Cath Lab Refurbishment

The scheme provided a new G7 cath laboratory, cardiac ward and diagnostics wing.

The internal alterations, refurbishment and the construction of a new single storey plantroom has provided the new Cath Lab Facility at the Hospital. The works were phased to allow for all works and temporary works necessary to facilitate these works and maintain the continued use of adjacent areas of the hospital.

The scheme is an important development for the hospital and local community, providing much needed cardiology facilities that will will reduce the need for patients to travel out of the county to other specialist facilities, such as Papworth Hospital.

Furthermore, we have completed various other projects at the hospital over decades including: pharmacy centralisation, refurbishments to the radiology department (undertaken in four phases), new endoscopy suite, (complete with clean rooms and complex BMS system installations), Acute mental health facility and MRI corridor refurbishment.

All works have been successfully carried out in the centre of a live and busy hospital site, where the safety of the patients and staff has been a paramount consideration.
