The new bus stop and shelter at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) in King’s Lynn is now complete and has been opened to the public. In preparation for the build of the new multi-storey car park starting soon, the team from R G Carter helped relocate this busy transport hub to the top end of the site on Gayton Road, opposite the Community Diagnostic Centre which the Firm delivered 2024.
The bus stop features a virtual timetable board with live bus updates, an audio button for accessibility and a dedicated patient buggy stop to support patients with mobility needs.
This development was a key part of the enabling works to clear space for the New QEH hospital, prioritised for rebuild by the National New Hospital Programme, and will be built on the hospital’s current main car park.
