We were delighted to recently host a tour with Norwich City Council, at the social housing scheme on Goldsmith Street in Norwich, for the Environmentalist Norfolk branch of AECB (Association of Environmentally Conscious Builders).

AECB is an organisation of individuals and companies with a ‘common aim of promoting sustainable building’. Members include contractors, trades people, self builders, architects, designers, engineers, manufacturers, housing associations, local authorities and academics, so there is a very wide interest in green building.

Assistant PM Jack Caswell-Dodd led the tour with Andrew Turnbell from Norwich City Council, giving an in-depth presentation and talk behind passivhaus principles. As one of the largest passivhaus residential developments in the UK, with 105 dwellings, the attendees were keen to view this showcase for social housing, which matches their own common aim of promoting sustainable building.
