David Jennings, from Drayton Windows, and his wife Angela have been collecting donations of children’s football shirts and stationary for over a year to take out to Thailand for disadvantaged migrant Burmese school children.

Over 100 football shirts were collected and so much stationary that they didn’t have much room left in their own suitcases for their clothes, but well worth it, as it was for all the children.

David said “It was a bit of a reality shock at first to see the terrible conditions they were living in but all of the families were so welcoming and the children were so polite, well-mannered and grateful. They don’t have a lot but they love football and receiving a shirt makes there day. We left them with massive smiles on their faces and ours too”.
