On a very chilly November Sunday morning at 3am, the STEM site team, along with Hoard it/ Falcon Cranes/ and Herts Traffic, implemented a full road closure with diversion routes around the town centre.
This was to allow for the dismantling of the crane to take place safely on site. The team had to erect a mobile crane, that took four hours to complete, in order to start taking down the larger crane.
After two days the road was re-opened four hours ahead of schedule.
Fitout works are now commencing through the whole building, which includes the walls, doors and mechanical and electrical installations.
