To mark the hand-over of the new Special Resource Base at Watton Junior School, the R G Carter team were delighted to present an engraved time capsule for staff and pupils from Year 3 and 4 to bury.
Simon Gould who project managed the building of this SEMH provision, passed the very shiny engraved capsule to James, who was very proud to be given this job and extremely careful in its handling!
In the time capsule, now buried in its newly planted grounds, the pupils placed drawings of things they have been leaning about such as Winston Churchill and Boudica, along with letters about themselves, their hobbies and families.
The pupils also got their first glimpse inside this bespoke built separate block, which sits at the rear of the 1920’s school, and contains two classrooms, welfare and staff rooms and a practical open space for flexible use. It also sits within its own secure play area.
The project was designed by NPS Group and delivered for Norfolk County Council.
