The R G Carter team on the STEM project held a topping out ceremony on Thursday 19th July. This was to mark the last piece of steel on the roof and Vice Chancellor of the University of Bedfordshire, Bill Rammell, installed the last bolt to mark the milestone.
Amongst those that attended were the Vice Chancellor, Deputy Vice Chancellor and representatives from the University and representatives from R G Carter and the site team.
The concrete frame is now complete and a 20m high atrium steel being erected, as well as curtain walling by Drayton Windows being installed. A floating feature staircase is to be installed in the next few weeks, and the building will be watertight in next few weeks.
