To the call of ‘3,2,1…SHOP!’, six teams from R G Carter, embarked on a simultaneous timed competitive charity food collection across different Tesco stores in support of local Foodbanks – see them here in action: https://lnkd.in/eK5GZmsy
Each team, donned in festive Santa and elf hats, T shirts and tinsel, dashed around stores to collect £500 worth of items from a list of those most needed items, supplied by the Foodbanks, in the fastest time. A representative from each Foodbank accompanied teams as the official adjudicator!
Well done to the winning team at the Halstead store in Essex, with a speedy run of 14 minutes and 43 seconds! Thank you to all our dashers, calculators and supporters across the event in Beccles, Diss, Halstead, Lincoln, Stowmarket and Wisbech, and to the staff at Tesco for being so accommodating!
