Group Social Value Advisor

East Anglia (Travel required throughout this area) - Permament - Full Time

Background

As the Group Social Value Advisor, you will be joining our business at an important time within our sustainability journey.
You will be supporting delivery of the Firms Social Value Strategy, ensuring our long-term goals are embedded into all business activities and project stages.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help shape our social value outcomes to meet the needs of the communities we work within.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support delivery of the Firms Sustainability Plan through interfacing with business support teams.
  • Assist in developing and implementing Social Value Initiatives across our businesses.
  • Data collection, analysis & reporting.
  • Social Value Platform management and auditing.
  • Contribute to the development of sustainability assessment tools and dashboards.
  • Collaborating with third party certifiers.
  • Supply chain engagement activities.
  • Engaging and supporting our delivery teams.
  • Promoting Social Value activities/ events within our businesses.
  • Attend industry/ networking events on behalf of the Firm.
  • Support the production of case studies that demonstrate effective social value outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to help local communities.
  • Benchmark Sustainability & Social Value progress against the Firms Sustainability Plan.
  • Train Team Members on Social Value through engagement.

Key Skills & Knowledge

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to work as part of a team and individually.
  • Be passionate about Sustainability, Social Value, community engagement and Diversity Equity and Inclusion.
  • Willing to travel to construction sites/offices across East Anglia where required.
  • Working knowledge of Thive or similar Social Value Platform would be advantageous, but not essential.
  • Have good time management and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards including PPN 06/20 would be advantageous.

Experience

  • We are keen to speak with both passionate experienced and newly qualified candidates.
  • A degree qualification or similar in sustainability, environment, construction, or business management would be advantageous but is not essential.
