Plant Fitter/Welder with Class 2 Licence

Background
Working within the Internal Plant Hire business, repairing and maintaining plant and small tools. Undertaking welding repairs to Site Cabins, Tip Skips as necessary. Providing Support with delivering plant during peak times and holiday cover.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining plant and small tools in good working order, working to relevant service schedules.
- Attending breakdowns out across our sites.
- Identifying faults and carrying out repairs.
- Updating service records.
- Loading and unloading, delivering plant, cabins and Non-Mechanical equipment to and from our sites.
Key Skills & Knowledge
- Proven experience working as a plant mechanic/fitter in a field-based role with a relevant mechanical qualification or time served is essential
- Sound and current knowledge of plant machinery maintenance
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to work effectively under pressure
- A customer-focused approach workload and committed team player
- A valid driving licence is essential
Experience
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in plant and machinery maintenance. Or proven experience working as a plant fitter in the industry.
- NVQ level 2 in welding and fabrication.
- Class 2 Driver. Driver CPC with a minimum of 35hrs completed
