In St Albans, the new Construction Centre at Oaklands College is well underway, its steel frame now complete, and brick and block work has commenced, marking out the new teaching spaces inside.

The first floor of the building will house mock ‘construction’ bays and workshops for electrical students, whilst the ground floor will cater for plumbing and mechanical courses.

The R G Carter team seen here are stood in front of the side of the centre which will be the entrance, covered with a cantilevered canopy. Roof sheets can be seen being craned up to complete the four pitched roofs.

We would like to take this opportunity to say welcome to Ife (centre in photo), who started with us in January as an Assistant QS. Already a much valued member of the R G Carter team.
