Enabling works have been taking place at Addenbrookes Hospital, in preparation for the new world-class Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital. This hospital aims to advance cancer research, improve patient outcomes, and change the way cancer is diagnosed and treated in Cambridge and beyond
Our team were tasked with levelling out this 6,400m2 plot of land, which sits adjacent to The Discovery Centre, occupied by pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca.
The large scale muck away of over 18,000 m3 of soil started in February, and at its busiest, 70 full wagons a day were being removed from site.
Sheet piling has now been installed on the perimeters, and our project is in its final phase, accommodating an Archaeological dig, where the Cambridge Archaeological Unit are studying 2000 years of history across the site to understand more about the economy of the past area.
