Members of the local Parish Council of Thurston, were recently welcomed on the site of the new Extra Care Apartments and Bungalows to see the progress as it starts to take shape.
A short talk about the build to date was followed by a tour which enabled guests to walk around the first floor scaffolding platform to see various decorative brickwork in this traditional build scheme, and also the now complete concrete pours on the ground and first floors.
The Parish Council have closely followed this project being built for Housing 21 since its conception and start on site, the team having worked with them help to build positive local relations in the village, keep the community informed and to keep disruption to a minimum.
