Representatives from R G Carter joined project partners, stakeholders and local representatives to celebrate the official opening of the new North Hertfordshire College Town Centre Campus in Stevenage.
The launch marked the completion of the transformation of the former indoor market space beneath the town’s multi-storey car park into a modern training and education facility, creating a vibrant learning environment at the heart of the town centre.
Delivered in partnership with Stevenage Borough Council, MAC Consulting Ltd and Saunders Architects, the project has introduced specialist learning spaces for construction and automotive students. The new campus features dedicated workshops for plumbing, carpentry, bricklaying and motor vehicle studies, helping students develop practical skills in industry-focused environments.
During the opening event, guests toured the new campus and saw students actively using the facilities, providing a first-hand insight into how the development is supporting hands-on learning and preparing the next generation of skilled professionals.
See how we’re helping shape the future of education through our latest projects.
