It is 25 years since we delivered The Forum in Norwich city centre, home to the Norfolk and Norwich Millennium Library. In 2001, this prestigious building, now an iconic local landmark, was opened to the public by Her Majesty The Queen.
It was designed by world-renowned architect Sir Michael Hopkins, following the devastating fire at Norwich Central Library in 1994, which sadly saw hundreds of thousands of historic documents and books lost.
To mark the milestone, The Forum is now undergoing a £1m transformation, shaped by feedback from library users. Improvements include enhanced lighting and accessibility, new furniture, and upgraded spaces for events and talks.
The refurbishment is fitting way to celebrate this anniversary, and we are extremely proud to see that this stunning building continues to evolve and remain a popular destination for both local people and visitors alike.
